The highest road of Bangladesh is now in Bandarban too. Once it was Peak-69 which is on the way to Nilgiri from Bandarban town. But now it is from Thanchi to Alikadam of Bandarban district.
Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the road of Bangladesh on 13th July, 2015 through video conference. The road is 33 kilometres long. The total construction cost of this road is BDT 117 crores.
The highest road of Bangladesh has been constructed by Mighty Bangladesh Army. The tourism industry will get huge advantage through this road. It is situated 2500 feet above sea-level.
This is the second highest road in South Asia. You can go to Cox’s Bazar through this road. The construction was started in 2006. The tourists will enjoy this hilly road very much, The highest road of Bangladesh is perfect for mountain bike tour.
